10 AM – 4 PM Family Activity Day: E(ART)H Fair
“What you can do” information from area environmental organizations, plus arts and science projects for all ages, Vanishing Ice gallery exploration activities and docent tours. Special activities in the FIG, including Lorax literacy and Penguins, Paws, Plants and People.
11 AM Cool Talks: The Reality, Social Dimensions and Solutions of Climate Change
A trio of experts actively working on the current climate situation introduce their realm of expertise: Eileen Quigley, director of the Strategic Innovations Program at Seattle-based Climate Solutions, Jill MacIntyre Witt, environmental biologist and Climate Leader with Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project, and Gene Myers, Huxley College of the Environment professor specializing in Conservation Psychology.
2 PM What’s Next? Answer and Action Panel
Our 11 AM speakers join Sustainable Connections and RE Sources staff who are deeply engaged in Whatcom County change-making, for a climate panel discussion. Ask questions, get answers and expand your understanding of what to do next in the name of a cleaner, greener world.
